Who is Vallalar?

Vallalar is a revolutionary Saint from Tamilnadu, India who lived in the 19th Century. He preached a common path for entire human race and believed in One Universal God and Universal Brotherhood.

His highest principle is Compassion towards all living beings and making a hunger free world. He opened a food charity to serve the poor who could not afford and is still running after 150 years.

He was against killing any living being or eating it for food. He asked the mankind to get relinquished what differentiates them, such as caste, religion, sects, nationalities, race, group, language etc.,

He emphasized a disciplined life and equality to woman. He was born on Oct 5, 1823 and after living in this world for about 50 years, locked him inside a small hut and disappeared. Before disappearing he told his followers that he would merge with God and as he said, he did. British government officers ( who were ruling India at that time) opened the door and he was not found.

With so many conflicts around the world, his teachings of "Compassion towards all beings" can only make a peaceful place to live.
